Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how tappStudio, a one-person independent practice run by me, Ibrahim Broachwala, handles information when you visit tappstudio.in or get in touch through it. There's no team, no data-sharing partners you haven't heard of, and no analytics dashboard I'm quietly watching. Here's exactly what happens.
This policy covers the tappstudio.in website itself. The apps I build and publish (Nasab, My Deen, Splitup, and others) each have their own privacy policy covering the data collected inside that app, linked from within the app and from its store listing.
1. What I collect
1.1 What you give me
If you use the contact form or email me directly, I receive whatever you type: your name, your email address, the topic you pick, and your message. That's it. I don't ask for a phone number, a company name, or anything else the form doesn't show you.
1.2 What your browser gives me automatically
This site is static and hosted on GitHub Pages. Like any web host, GitHub's servers log standard request data (things like IP address, browser type, and the page requested) to keep the service running and secure. I don't have my own analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising scripts on this site, and I don't see that log data myself. See GitHub's own privacy statement for how they handle it.
1.3 Local storage, not cookies
The light/dark theme toggle saves your preference in your browser's local storage, not a cookie, and not sent anywhere. It's there purely so the site remembers your choice on your next visit. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.
2. How I use it
Information you send me through the contact form is used for exactly one thing: replying to you about your question or feedback. I don't add you to a mailing list, sell your information, or use it for advertising.
3. Who else sees it
I use one third-party service to make the contact form work, since this site has no backend of its own:
- Web3Forms: the contact form submits to Web3Forms, which relays it to my inbox by email. Web3Forms processes the message on the way through; see their privacy policy for details on that.
- GitHub Pages: this site is hosted on GitHub Pages, which serves the pages you're reading and logs standard server access data as described above.
Beyond that, I only share your information if the law requires it, or if you separately agree to it (for example, if sorting out your request means looping in a specific third party you've asked for).
4. Data security
I take reasonable steps to keep information you send me secure, but no method of transmission over the internet is ever 100% secure. I can't guarantee absolute security, and neither can anyone else who tells you otherwise.
5. Data retention
I keep contact form emails for as long as they're useful for the conversation they relate to, and delete old ones periodically. If you'd like something removed sooner, just ask.
6. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you're based, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of personal information I hold about you, or to object to how it's used. Since I don't run a database of visitors, this mostly comes down to the handful of emails you've sent me. Email me and I'll sort it out directly, no ticket number required.
7. International use
I'm based in Mumbai, India, and this site has visitors worldwide. If you contact me from outside India, your information is processed here, and by the third-party services listed above, which may be located elsewhere.
8. Children's privacy
This website isn't directed at children, and I don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 through it. (Some of my apps have their own age-appropriate handling documented in their individual privacy policies.)
9. Third-party links
This site links out to things like the App Store, Google Play, and social profiles. Once you click through, you're on their turf and their privacy policy applies, not this one.
10. Changes to this policy
If I change how this site handles information, I'll update this page and the date at the top. Given how small this operation is, changes here should be rare and boring.
